EverZinc, the global zinc expert, is looking for a Sales & business development manager (m/w) in charge of sales & market development for one of our product, the Fine Zinc Powder.
! Vacancy open to permanent resident of Malaysia only !
- Strategic focus : Maintain the market share and further develop the sales of FZP in the APAC, India and Far & Middle East region.
- Type of contract : Permanent, full time
- Travel : around 30% of your time
What will be your rol?
To support the head of department to maintain the sales target and new customer/market, while supporting the department objective and maintaining a safe work environment in accordance with established policies and practices.
- Personally manage and develop the relations with the customers, in line with the group policies. Collect and disseminate market information about the different products for the different plants.
- Prepare the budgets and Operational Plan, align the tactics with the group strategy, propose new development actions for the sales of Zinc Powders.
- Set up a distribution network with the customers. Maintain good commercial relations with the agents / distributors. Extend the network to new areas.
- Maintain and upgrade an organization to do correct metal hedging for the sales of the final products of the different plants, with proper records and controls in line with the group rules and instructions.
- Organize the planning and scheduling of the outgoing final products, in cooperation with the different production units, the warehouses and the labs, in line with the specifications of the different products. Follow up of customer complaints and non-conformities.
- Follow up and ensure adequate control of debt collection from customers in cooperation with the different production units, in line with the group procedures and rules. Follow up and control of the credit limits of the customers, in line with credit insurer.
- Team management : develop a well-trained and well performing team that interacts well with suppliers and customers, as well with the other departments in the plant; manage transportation and documentary obligations related with the transborder shipments of finished goods; ensure good relations with the relevant Authorities. Propose personnel management advice for the other production units.
- Ensure different reportings such as : business overview in weekly and monthly sales reports, monthly budget report, customer visit reports and market review of customers and competition.

What do we expect from you?
Functional requirements :
- MBA or equivalent in Chemistry/Engineering and/or Business Management
- Minimal experience of 5 years in the sales of chemical or metals.
- Windows applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, knowledge of SAP.
- Fluency in English & Malay (both oral and written), any other Asia language will be highly considered.
- Knowledge and experience in interanational shipping and logistics.
- Able to think strategically and tactically.
- Team-player, reliable and accurate, customer oriented, empathic and friendly.
- Multicultural mindset, open for all business practices in the regions covered.
- Pro-active with ability to control the overall management of the sale force in planning and implementing Sales & Marketing Strategies.
- Able and willing to maintain strict level of confidentiallity regarding results and record.
- Ability to convince and persuade customers.
